Dr. Ablin Joanes Carneiro-Alphonso

Born and educated in the city of Mumbai, Ablin Carneiro-Alphonso is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at a reputed institution in the city. She has a vision to strengthen the academia-industry interaction in the field of education. Through her interactions with research scholars, academicians, industrialists and economic analysts, she has been able to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and interactive learning that have benefitted her students to understand the intricacies linked with the subject of Economics.

Ablin, has been awarded a Ph.D. Doctorate in Economics by the University of Mumbai in the year 2012 for her study on: ‘Domestic Software Industry– A Study of Post-Liberalisation Scenario in Mumbai’. She has won the H. R. Batheja Gold Medal for Industrial Economics at the postgraduate level. She has had the privilege to present papers at international and national conferences, has published articles in leading international journals and has been awarded for some of the presentations done on her research study.
